St. Matthew's 5K Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Details

• Date: Saturday, October 26, 2024
• Time: 9:00 a.m. for the 5K Run/Walk
• Location: St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 9275 Bringle Ferry Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146
• Fun Run: 1/2-Mile Fun Run at 10:00 a.m. immediately following the 5K

🎉 Supporting a Cause

• Fundraiser: All funds raised go to support Griffin Morneau, Angie Potter, and Frank Brady.
• Assistance: Aiming to assist families and caregivers with respite care and other medical and essential needs.
• Sponsorship: This 5K is an approved Thrivent Action Team Event.
• Refreshments: Thrivent has donated $250 for refreshments.

💰 Registration Fees

• 5K Registration Fee: $20 (mail-in through October 25 and online through October 26)
• On-site Registration: $25 (on-site on October 26)
• Fun Run Registration Fee: $10
• Awards: Top 2 overall male and female winners in the 5K

🏆 Awards

• 5K Awards: Top 3 in various age groups for male and female runners.
• Eligibility: Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.
• Fun Run Awards: Top overall male & female: medals for all other fun run finishers.
• Note: Awards will not be mailed.

👕 T-Shirts

• 5K Participants: Dri-Fit Technical T-shirt for all participants.
• Fun Run Participants: Pre-registered participants receive a cotton t-shirt.

🕒 Check-In Information

• Check-In Time: 7:30 - 8:45 a.m.
• Location: Race packet pick up at the church.

🌧️ Weather Policy

• Delay: Race may be delayed for one hour in inclement weather.
• Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel any portion of the race if safety is a concern.
