Location: Hosted at Barry University in Miami Shores, the very neighborhood where our dear Kennedy Bailey grew up!
Event Type: Our 5K RUN OR WALK is open to all families, age groups and abilities.
Technology: All results and standings will be monitored with real-time chip tracking technology from our amazing partner Split Second Timing & Wildside.
Purpose: The race was created in honor of Kennedy Bailey, who tragically lost her life due to depression.

Initiatives: Our Kennedy Kids Foundation is dedicated to crowdfunding, fundraising, and the development of programs and initiatives for the prevention of youth suicide.
Focus: We are focused on mental health and education, heightened help-seeking behavior, and equitable access to care.
Goal: Our goal is to end this tragic epidemic and save lives.
Participation: Will you run with us in support of mental health awareness and suicide prevention among teens?
π Race Day Details
Packet Pick Up: Runners packets will be available for pickup from 6:00am-7:15am on race day outside of Farrell Hall, on the Campus Mall area.
Race Start: The Kennedy Kids Foundation 3rd Annual 5K kicks off at 7:30am!
Arrival: All participants are encouraged to arrive by 7:15am for temporary race road closures and pre-race stretch.
Coffee: Enjoy a hot coffee from our Dunkin Donuts partner after picking up your packet.
π½οΈ Post-Race Celebration
Breakfast: Feed your body and your soul with a hot breakfast option from Mercy Chefs!
Family Fun: Enjoy family fun activities in the community sponsors area with face painting and balloons.
Awards: Awards Presentation will feature cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall, and medals for top 3 Male/Female by age group.

π§ Course and Road Closures
Route: Southbound lane of NE 2nd Ave. from 111th St. to 115th St.
Stops: Westbound at NE 2nd Ave. and 111th St. to Barryβs entrance at the Gatehouse.
Directions: North Miami Ave. from 111th St. to NW 115th St., returning to the university at the Garner gate back to the finish line.
Restrooms: Restrooms will be available. Parking is available in the lot for $5.00 per car.

Help Needed: Over 100 volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of pre-race and race day activities.
