Sun 'n Lake Improvement District is proud to host the 5K Turkey Trot for Thanksgiving, a family-friendly, fun-filled run that brings our community together for a cause. The event will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024, beginning and ending near the Sun 'n Lake Community Center. This event aims to promote healthy living while raising awareness of community wellness and fitness. The race will begin promptly at 8:00 AM, and runners of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate.
The 5K Trunk Trot is designed to foster a spirit of community, promote health and wellness, and kick off the holiday season with a festive, outdoor event. Participants will be encouraged to celebrate their achievements, engage with neighbors, and build a tradition of active living in the Sun 'n Lake area. All proceeds from the event will be used to support future community events and wellness programs.

Parking is available at the Sun 'n Lake Community Center and nearby lots. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to ensure parking availability.
The race will be officially timed and scored using a disposable chip system. Participants will receive their chips at registration and are required to wear them throughout the race. Results will be posted online within 24 hours.

The 5K is 3.1 miles, beginning and ending at the Sun 'n Lake Community Center.
The race will use an electronic timing system with a disposable chip attached to the back of your race bib. Each participant is required to wear the chip for official times to be recorded.
