🎃 Event Overview

Frederick County Parks and Recreation is partnering with Runners' Retreat to bring a fun twist to one of their Thursday evening group runs! The Halloween Scavenger Hunt Fun Run is a great way to celebrate the spooky season while getting some exercise. Participants of all ages will run/walk while searching for Halloween-themed items along the way. Teams will have one hour to run around, find and take photos of items then return to Runners’ Retreat. After, we will have a social get together at Piccadilly's Public House (drinks and food on your own) and announce the winning team who will receive a prize!

🗒️ Details

Team Composition: Teams will consist of up to 2-4 runners/walkers.
Scavenger List: Each team will receive a list of items with assigned points.
Group Requirement: Teams must stay together for the entire run. Once you find an item, take a photo and be sure to include your team members in the photo. Some items have BONUS points, so be sure to try to score extra!
Running Gear: Make sure at least one person on the team will be running with a running watch and a phone (with space for photos!). Start your watch as soon as you leave the store and don't hit stop until you return! Be sure to let the event leaders know your team's final distance.
