🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

This is the fifth annual "Run For Her Life" virtual/in-person 5K and Half-Marathon!

🌍 Mission of the Phoenix Phase Initiative

• Organization: The Phoenix Phase Initiative is an Iowa-based non-profit dedicated to helping women who have been sexually trafficked around the world.
• Purpose: These women are rarely given a chance to escape and, when they do get the chance, they RUN for it!
• Support: The Phoenix Phase Initiative is there so they have a place to run to where they can be accepted, receive counseling, and learn job skills.

🎶 Event Features

• Live Music: Enjoy performances to energize your run!
• Free Refreshments: A FREE beer from Gezellig Brewing Company (or craft soda) awaits you!
• Food Availability: The Jana's Snack Shack food truck will be present to satisfy your hunger.

📅 Registration Details

• Deadline: To be guaranteed a shirt and bag, PLEASE sign up by April 29, 2025.
• Post-Deadline Registration: Runners/walkers who sign up after April 29, 2025 WILL receive a shirt, medal, and bag, but they will likely NOT be available the day before or the day of the race!
• After May 17: Items will be made after May 17 and distributed as soon as possible.

🚦 Course Information

This will be an open course, but there will be police presence and volunteers directing traffic at the major intersections. Please follow all traffic laws!

The event will be held on May 17, 2025, at 403 W 4th St N, Newton, IA.
