🏊‍♂️ The Beast of the Brazos Race Overview

• Event: The Beast of the Brazos, an open-water swim event in Waco, TX.
• Distances: 2.4 miles and 1.2 mile distances mirroring a full IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 Waco courses.
• New Addition: 750 meter swim sprint added this year!
• Registration Bonus: All participants registered before August 8th will receive a swim cap, dri-fit shirt, and finisher’s medal.

📅 Race Day Schedule of Events

• 6:45-7:45 AM: Packet Pickup/Late Registration
• 7:40-8:00 AM: Opening Ceremonies at Indian Springs Park
• 8:00-8:30 AM: 750 meter swim (30 minute mandatory cut off time)
• 9:00-11:20 AM: 2.4 mile swim (2:20 mandatory cut off time)

🎉 Post-Race Celebration

• 11:30 AM: Awards for Top 3 males and females of each age category & race
• 12:00 PM: After Party at Even Hotel

🌊 Wetsuit Classification

• Classification: Relevant for determining the top 3 tiered age group for male and female awards.
• Change Policy: If you register for wetsuit, but decide to change into non wetsuit on race day, please let us know!
• Awards Impact: No consequences for changing, but you will not qualify for top age group awards.
• Safety Notice: If water temperature is above 90 degrees, the course will be abbreviated for safety reasons.
