Event: The Beast of the Brazos, an open-water swim event in Waco, TX
Distances: 2.4 miles and 1.2 miles, mirroring a full IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 Waco courses
New Addition: Newly added this year is a 750 meter swim sprint!
Participant Perks: All registered participants will receive a swim cap, dri-fit shirt, and finisher’s medal.

🌊 Wetsuit Classification
Definition: Wetsuit classification is only relevant for determining the top 3 tiered age group for male and female awards.
Change Policy: If you register for wetsuit but decide to change into non wetsuit the morning of, there’s no consequences, but please let us know!
Award Qualification: You just won’t be able to qualify for a top 3 tiered age group awards.
⚠️ Course Safety
Temperature Clause: If water temperature is above 90 degrees then the course will be abbreviated for safety reasons.
💰 Charity Benefit
Organization: All proceeds from this race will benefit the Greater Waco Sports Commission.
Goal: A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization devoted to providing opportunities to enhance the lives of those living in Waco and McLennan County through sport and exercise.

6:30 am-7:55 am: Packet Pickup/Late Registration
7:55 am-8:05 am: Opening Ceremonies at Indian Springs Park
8:05 am: Call for 2.4 mile participants to walk to Pecan Bottoms dock for staging
8:40 am-11:00 am: 2.4 mile swim with mandatory cut-off time at 11:00 am
9:15 am: Call for 1.2 mile participants to walk to Pecan Bottoms dock for staging
11:05 am: Awards (Top 3 males and females of each age category & race - 60 total)
