RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP/CHECK-IN: 7:00 am - 8:15 am at the check in tent.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION: 7:00 am - 8:15 am at the check in tent. We will have race QR codes posted for same day registrants who are paying with a credit card.
π° Registration Fees
RACE DAY REGISTRATION FEE: 5K - $35.00, Non-timed 5K & 1K - $20.00. PLEASE BRING EXACT CHANGE or CREDIT CARD - CHANGE WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.
Age-Based pricing: For 18yrs and under, $20.25 for timed event and $10.25 for untimed event.
WALKERS: Please sign in at the check-in tent upon arrival and bring your own water.
FREE PARTICIPATION: Runners/Walkers under age 8 can participate in the run/walk free of charge.
π² Park Information
Location: The event takes place at the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in North Port, acquired in 1989.
History: The name Myakkahatchee translates to "big water river" in the Seminole language.
Terrain Rating: Caution advised due to uneven surfaces typical of this natural environment. "Caution-Tree Roots" signs will be posted.
Dog Policy: Leashed dogs allowed: NON-retractable leashes preferred for safety.
π° Water Stations and Refreshments
Water Stations: Located at 1.25 and 2.75 miles of the 5K run and at the Finish Line.
Refreshments: Food, water, and tables provided by environmental colleagues.
Walker Awareness: Walkers must bring their own water to enjoy along the route.
Organizing Partner: Timing provided by Beach Bum Timing (www.beachbumtiming.com).

PARKING: Available within the park or along Reisterstown Road/Estates Drive.
Parking Restrictions: Please refrain from parking on the residential side of Reisterstown Road/Estates Drive.
DIRECTIONS: Take Exit 182 from I-75 and head East: follow Sumter Blvd. to Tropicaire Blvd., then left on Tropicaire and right on Reisterstown Road.
Event Area: The park is located at the curve of Reisterstown Road on the right.

Mission: Focus on conservation as Floridaβs growth displaces local wildlife and flora.
Local Impact: Trees and plants observable in the park are the same as those being removed for development.
Community Involvement: Encouragement to learn and engage in local conservation efforts.
