Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide and the most common cancer diagnosed in American women. 1 in 8 women in the US will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime with an estimated 310,000 diagnosed in 2024. If you haven't experienced breast cancer yourself, you know someone who has.
During the month of October we invite you to join us on Sunday afternoons for a walking group designed to support women returning to fitness during or after a cancer journey. Our goal is to offer community, encouragement and guidance for those seeking to start or maintain a walking routine after the trauma of cancer. This group is open to all cancer warriors and their support teams.
We will meet at the parking lot off Hwy 100 at Edwin Warner Park to hike the blue trail. This trail is a moderately technical trail with two inclines and covers approximately 2.5 miles. We encourage you to bring a water bottle and a willingness to engage with the group. We will start and finish together, with no one left behind.
