- Legacy: The original HTC Scholarship Fun Run was first held over 25 years ago.
- Mission: Created specifically for the purpose of raising funds for the HTC Scholarship Fund.
- Evolution: While the name, date, location, and distance of this race have changed, its mission will remain the same.
- Continuity: The Ditto Landing 10K will continue the mission of its predecessor.

Participants will be able to make individual donations to the Scholarship Fund during the race registration process.
