- Foundation: The original HTC Scholarship Fun Run was first held over 25 years ago.
- Purpose: Created specifically for the purpose of raising funds for the HTC Scholarship Fund.
- Evolving Event: The name, date, location, and distance of this race have changed over the years.
- Ongoing Mission: The Ditto Landing 10K will continue the mission of its predecessor.
