Colors for Children’s

🎨 Event Overview

• Join Us: Join us for the 3rd Annual "Colors for Children's" 5k and Fun Run hosted by Auburn High School Key Club!
• Date: Taking place on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025.
• Purpose: Benefiting the Children's Hospital of Alabama, every step you take helps make a difference in the lives of children in need.
• Fun Run: Our 1-mile Fun Run is the perfect family-friendly activity.

📍 Event Details

• Date: Saturday, March 22nd
• Location: Auburn High School, 1701 E Samford Ave, Auburn, AL 36830
• Start Times:
  • Safety Brief for all participants at 7:55 a.m.
  • 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 8:00 AM
  • 5K begins at 8:30 AM
• Track: All events will occur on the AHS track.

🚗 Venue Entrance and Parking

• Entrance: Please enter Auburn High School through the Glenn Avenue Entrance near John Deere Dealership.
• Parking: On-campus Parking is available in the Blue Lot - large student parking lot adjacent to the academic building and fine arts building.
• Avoid Parking: Please avoid parking near the athletic building, baseball field, and softball field as this area is part of the 5K course.
• Guidance: Key Clubbers, signs, and arrows will guide you to designated race areas from the parking lot.

📦 Race Packet Pickup

• Start Time: Race packet pickup begins at 7:15 a.m. for both races.
• Location: Registration tables will be located outside the athletic building across from the baseball/softball fields.
• Race-Day Registration: We are offering race-day registrations—$20 for 1-mile and $30 for 5K.
• Payment: Cash or check only, exact change is preferred. Race T-shirt is not guaranteed.

🗓️ Early-Bird Race Packet Pickup

• Time: Early pickup of bibs ONLY from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21st.
• Location: Front office of AHS or from room 1316 on the 3rd floor during 2nd and 3rd block.
• Note: Early bib pickup does not include T-shirts.

🏃 Race Details

• Bib Attachment: Use all 4 safety pins provided to attach your bib to the front of your shirt/shorts.
• Name on Bib: Ensure you are wearing the correct bib reflecting your name and information.
• Color Run: Both races are color runs with colored powder thrown throughout the race.
• Open Course: Both races are open course: please use sidewalks and be aware of surroundings.

☔ Inclement Weather

• Cancellation: Events will be canceled if inclement weather arises.
