Event Overview

The Pi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi will be hosting its annual Sarah Anderson Live.Laugh.Run. 5K on March 28, 2026. Kappa Kappa Psi is a national honorary fraternity dedicated to serving college and university bands across the country.

In Memory of Sarah Anderson

• Tragic Loss: In November of 2009, Sarah Anderson lost her life in a tragic car accident.
• Her Journey: Sarah was a sophomore studying to go to veterinarian school at Auburn University.
• Auburn Band: She was a piccolo player in the Auburn University Marching Band (AUMB).
• Kappa Kappa Psi: Sarah was also a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi.

Scholarship Fund

In honor of her memory, the Pi chapter will be using all proceeds to fund the Sarah Anderson Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship that is granted to a deserving band member at the end of each fall semester. The recipient will be someone who best exhibits the qualities of our fraternity and who shares the same positive attitude and love for life that Sarah Anderson had.

Registration Details

• General Public: Registration is $30 for the general public.
• Students and Alumni: $25 for ALL current students and AUMB alumni.
• Price Increase: Registration will increase by $5 starting March 1.
• Shirt Guarantee: Register by February 28th to be guaranteed a shirt.

Race Day Schedule

• Registration: Registration will open at 9:15am.
• Group Stretches: Group stretches will be led at 10am.
• Race Start: The race will begin at 10:30am.
• Refreshments: Refreshments will be given out after the race.
