🏃♂️ Kirkwood Spring Fling 5K Road Race
Join us at 8am on May 17th, 2025, for our annual road race through the historic Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta. Runners of all ages are welcome to participate in a challenging, yet fast, course through the heart of Kirkwood. You will run along tree lined streets, featuring historic Craftsman and modern style homes, vibrant murals, cheering neighbors, and thriving local business. The 5K will be officially timed by On Time Results and will also qualify you for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race. Race route link is below. As with any Atlanta race in the spring, be ready for Heat, Hills, and Humidity!
🎽 Age Groups
- Categories: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
- Recognition: Three deep: male and female in all categories.
- Overall Winners: Overall male and female winners will be awarded.
- Kirkwood Spike Award: Top finishers in each category will receive awards.
- Special Prizes: Adults in costume, with strollers, or dogs will also vie for special prizes from Empire Arts and Kirkwood Feed and Seed!
👕 T-Shirts
Extremely comfortable cotton blend race t-shirts will be distributed at packet pickup and day of race. Be sure to choose the size you prefer: we can only swap sizes after the race and options will be limited.
🚗 Parking
There are no officially designated areas for parking. We ask that all race attendees arrive early enough to walk to registration and the race start from areas around the neighborhood. Please be mindful of the main festival surrounding Bessie Branham Park as certain roads will be closed or have limited access. Please refer to the race course map to determine which neighborhood areas are ideal parking for your situation.
