• First 450 Registrants: The first 450 registered ARE getting the poly-tech shirt!
• Pre-Registration Shirt Size: As of Nov 10, all pre-registrations are now a cotton long sleeve.
• Guaranteed Shirt Size: Ends on Nov. 17!
• Final Shirt Order: All remaining shirts after Nov. 4 will be long sleeve cotton.

🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

The Stratford Turkey Day Trot has become one of the largest of its kind in the area. From its humble start in Stratford Center over 20 years ago with under 100 people, our event has grown to average over 800 people each year.

• Community Support: Our 5k event is successful and safe thanks to the tremendous support and cooperation from the Stratford Police, EMS, Public Works & Fire Departments.
• Course: Our 5K course is friendly and slightly tweaked this year to have a common start/finish on Main St. - suitable for all abilities.
• Weather Policy: This event is being held rain or shine: severe weather could change the race start time.
• Event Charities: Proceeds will benefit many local non-profit groups and charities from within our Stratford Community.

📅 Race Day Information

• Registration Limits: Registration closes at 1,000 participants. Don't get shut out!
• Timing: We use computer bib-chip timing for fast & accurate results.
• Kids Run: There will be a free Kids run prior to the race at 8:05 am for ages 9 & under.
• PICKUP: On race day, pickup starts at 7:00 am and closes at 8:10 am sharp at the race site.

🏅 Awards and Contests

• Costume Contest: Winner receives a $50 gift card from Paradise Pizza!
• Awards: Male & Female Champions receive separate awards.
• Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd, 3rd for all age categories will be available.
• Award Pickup: Please pick up your award after you finish: no formal ceremony will be held.

🚗 Parking Information

PARKING - THE START AND FINISH ARE WITHIN 200 YARDS OF THE STRATFORD RAILROAD STATION where there are hundreds of spaces available. Please note there is no parking on the 5K course: the police will tow.

💰 Registration Fees

Registration is online only - no paper entries/no cash accepted. Here are the fee structures:

• Early Registration: 7/25 - 8/25: $31 ages 19 & over, $24 ages 18 & under.
• Standard Registration: 8/26 - 9/30: $36 / $25.
• Late Registration: 10/1 - 11/20: $39 / $28.
• Last Chance: 11/21 - 11/28: $41 / $30 (if not sold out).

🐦 Community Contributions

The proceeds of the Stratford Turkey Day Trot have averaged over $10,000 each of the last five years. Funds go to various local charities, including:

• Masonic House Learning Center for Dyslexia
• Town of Stratford Recreation Department
• Sterling House, Bunnell High School Post Prom & Cross Country Team
• Many other non-profit groups & charities in our Stratford Community.

The very flat & fast course has attracted runners & walkers from across Connecticut and New England! Last year's event was a tremendous success, and we look forward to another fantastic turnout.
