🦃 Race Overview

The Stratford Turkey Day Trot has become one of the largest of its kind in the area. From its humble start in Stratford Center over 20 years ago with under 100 people, our event has grown to average over 800 people each year.

• New Start/Finish: ON MAIN ST IN FRONT OF THE THEATRE- The S/F will actually be the SAME line to ensure you all now get a "net" time.

👕 Shirt Alert

• First Registrants: The first 750 registered ARE getting the poly-tech shirt!
• Order Deadline: We had to order them November 17 to ensure inventory.
• Shirt Availability: All shirts after that might be slightly different long sleeve depending on inventory.
• Size Guarantee: Ends November 17.

🚦 Race Day Registration

• Late Registration: Registration fees increase and are ONLINE ONLY. No paper entries/ no cash.
• Registration Fees: Vary from $31 to $41 based on dates.
• Max Participants: Registration is capped at 1000 participants. Don’t get shut out!
• Pickup for Others: Yes, you can pick up for others and vice versa!

🎉 Post Race Celebration

• Cibus Dos: Will be open 7am-11am serving TAPPAS and beverages.
• Joining Us: Pregame sports bar with specials like $4 drafts and $1 wings.
• Coffee Stop: Frenchies Coffee Cafe opens at 7:30am with 10% off with your bib.
• Course Description: Our very flat 5K course is very friendly and suitable for all abilities.

🏅 Awards & Recognition

• Costume Contest: The winner receives a $50 gift card from Paradise Pizza.
• Age Group Awards: Male & Female Champions are removed from their age groups for separate awards.
• Pleasing Finish: Awards distributed near the finish line without a formal ceremony.
• Pickup Post Race: Awards will be available for pickup the following week.

⏰ Thanksgiving Morning Schedule

• 6:00 AM: Wake up, have a coffee, do your thing
• 7:00 AM: Leave early to avoid traffic and parking hassle
• 8:05 AM: Kids run around the Main St. block
• 8:15 AM: Turkey Trot 5K start - get moving!

This event is being held rain or shine. Severe weather could lead to changes in the race start time or cancellation. No refunds can be given if the event is delayed, postponed, or canceled due to weather.
