The Run Like Water 5K will take place on Saturday, November 16th. Run Like Water to support water innovation.
🏃♂️ This Isn't Your Typical 5K Race
The Run Like Water 5K is the only 5k event where runners will be able to gain an exclusive, behind the scenes look at the world renowned F. Wayne Hill Water Resources Center (WRC) on your route.
🗺️ Route
- Start/Finish: The race will begin and conclude on The Water Tower Global Innovation Center's campus.
- Facilities: The F. Wayne Hill WRC is an award-winning advanced wastewater treatment facility.
- Environmental Impact: The facility cleans and returns some of the highest quality effluent in the United States.
- Unique Experience: See wastewater treatment processes in action on your route through the WRC.
❤️ Run for a Great Cause
Proceeds from the H2GO 5k go to The Water Tower Institute (501c3) for innovative water programming, such as STEM workshops for high school students to explore water careers and workforce training for individuals who would like to support their communities as water or wastewater operators. 💲 Entry Fees
- Early Bird Registration: $30.00 (Before September 16, 2024)
- Advance Registration: $35.00 (Before November 14, 2024)
- Day of Registration: $50.00 (After November 14, 2024)
📍 Location
The Water Tower is located at 2500 Clean Water Court Buford, Georgia 30519. Please use the main entrance at the intersection of Plunketts and Woodward Mill. The back entrance on One Water Way will be blocked off as part of the race course. Detailed directions are available on The Water Tower's website here.

Ample parking is available at The Water Tower.

❓ FAQs
- Can I walk/jog? Of course!
- Are dogs allowed? While we love our fur children, we kindly ask that they please stay home for this race due to its location at F. Wayne Hill Water Resources Center.
- Is this a stroller/family friendly event? Yes! Strollers are permitted, and all children/minors must be under direct supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.
