🏃♂️ What is the Mountaineer 5K?
The Mountaineer 5k is a 5-kilometer race organized by the Summit Academy Parent Teacher Organization.
- Participation: Runners, walkers, wheelchairs and strollers are welcome, but no pets allowed.
- Purpose: The race benefits Summit Academy Mountaineers athletics and clubs.
- Goals: To raise money for new equipment and enhance extracurricular experiences.
- Health Awareness: A great opportunity to start or continue your wellness journey!
💲 Registration Cost:
- Now - January 12, 2025: $25.00
- January 13 - February 1, 2025: $35.00
- February 2 - March 15, 2025: $45.00
- March 15 - March 22, 2025: $50.00
🎁 What is included in your registration?
- Finishers Medal: An Awesome finishers medal
- Cool T-Shirt: Each participant receives a t-shirt
- Awards: Overall and Age Group Awards custom made by students
- Post-Race Festival: Enjoy food and drinks at our finish line festival
🏁 The Course:
Fast and flat! We will start at the Summit Academy Junior High Track and run through the school, the parking lot, down the alley behind the school, then onto the canal. The majority of the race will be on the canal and finishing at the Junior High Track.
📦 Packet Pick up:
2 Options: Friday 3/21 4:30pm-6:30pm Packet Pick up in front of Summit Academy Junior High 1550 W Summit Place, Chandler, AZ or Packet pick-up will be morning of the race starting at 6:30am.
📅 Race Day Information:
- Registration: Online registration available until 3/22/25 at 7am.
- Shirt Size: Not guaranteed for those who register on race day.
- Restrictions: No roller blades, skateboards, or motorized devices allowed.
- Weather Policy: We run rain or shine. There are no refunds or transfers due to weather.

Park in the Summit Academy parking lot or on the street where parking is permitted.
