🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Date: Saturday, April 12, 2025
• Location: 415 E Cedar Rock St., Pickens, SC
• Event: Third Annual Hot Pursuit 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile Catch-A-Cop
• Details: Chip timed race starting and finishing at Doodle Park on a Certified Course.

👮 1 Mile Catch-A-Cop

• Ages: Open to kids 8th grade and under.
• Objective: Participants attempt to "catch a cop" and collect flags.
• Course: Route goes from Doodle Park to Bruce Field.
• Celebration: Participants ride back in a procession of police cars after the race.

💰 Charity Focus

• Proceeds: Go towards purchasing a wheelchair accessible swing for Easley, SC.
• Community Impact: Benefits a wider range of people throughout the community.
• Service Project: Students from Youth Leadership Academy participate each year.
• Past Efforts: Previous projects included raising funds for special needs children.

⏰ Race Schedule

• Start Time: Race begins at 9:00 AM.
• Awards Ceremony: Approximately 10:00 AM after the last participant finishes.
• Awards: For overall winners and age level awards in 10 year intervals.
• Registration: Includes race entry, timing, t-shirt, and medal.

📅 Packet Pickup

• Pre-Race: Friday, April 11 from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM at Pickens Doodle Park.
• Morning Pickup: Saturday from 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM at the same location.
• T-Shirt Deadline: March 31: no t-shirt for registrations after April 30.
• Entry Fee: Covers all mentioned items.
