🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: The Second Annual Hot Pursuit 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile Catch-A-Cop
• Date: Saturday, April 12, 2025
• Location: 415 E Cedar Rock St., Pickens, SC
• Course: Chip timed race starting and finishing at Doodle Park on a Certified Course.

👮‍♂️ Catch-A-Cop Details

• Participants: Open to kids ages 8th grade and under.
• Objective: Attempt to "catch a cop" and collect flags.
• Route: From Doodle Park to Bruce Field.
• Unique Experience: Ride back in a procession of police cars.

💰 Causes and Proceeds

• Proceeds: All proceeds will go towards purchasing a wheelchair accessible swing.
• Community Focus: Serving Easley, SC.
• School Involvement: Youth Leadership Academy engaging in community service projects.
• Past Initiatives: Previous projects included raising funds for special needs children.

⏰ Race Day Information

• Start Time: Race begins at 9:00 AM.
• Awards Ceremony: Presented around 10:00 AM after the last participant finishes.
• Awards Categories: 1st/2nd/3rd overall for M/F under 40 years, and 1st/2nd/3rd M/F overall for ages 40+
• Age Level Awards: Given in 10 year age intervals.

📝 Registration Details

• Cost Includes: Race entry w/ timing, race t-shirt, and finishing medal.
• T-Shirt Cut-Off: Cut-off date for a t-shirt is March 31.
• After April 30: No t-shirt will be included for late registrations.

📦 Packet Pickup Information

• Friday Pickup: April 11 from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM at the Pickens Doodle Park.
• Morning Pickup: April 12 from 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM at the Pickens Doodle Park.
