🍗 About the Race

• Purpose: The Family of New Paltz Turkey Trot is a 5K run and walk held annually Thanksgiving morning to support Family of New Paltz’s Food Pantry and Crisis Services.
• Background: Family of New Paltz is a crisis intervention center located in the heart of New Paltz since 1975.
• Services Offered: Family provides a myriad of services, including a 24 hour hotline and new text line, food pantry, counseling, support groups and shelters for adults, adolescents and victims of domestic violence.

🥔 Fun and Competitions

• Mashed Potato Fun Run: This year's event will include the famous Mashed Potato Fun Run, which is free for kids 12 and under.
• Course Certification: For the more serious runners, our USATF certified 5K course will include chip timed start and finish.
• Finish Line Photos: As part of the package provided by the chip-timing company, photos of individual runners crossing the finish line will be available for upload at no cost.
• Age Groups: Age groups this coming year will be in ten-year increments, and medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group, with separate awards for male and female.
