Join us for the 8th annual DEWEY DECIMAL DASH 5K RUN / WALK and support the Haverford Township Free Library!

This fun, family-friendly event is for all ages and fitness levels and brings our community together to support our Library!

People who know Haverford Township know that this is a special place. It is a town where neighbors still know and look out for each other, where small businesses have thrived for generations, where residents feel real pride. Our Library, with 180,000 patron visits each year, is a gateway to community connection through social events, groups, and programs that bring people together. Our Library is part of what makes this township an exceptional place to live.

With generous support such as yours, this event has raised almost $100,000 since 2017, helping fulfill our Library’s mission of providing excellent resources, services, and programs for all ages.

Event Date: Saturday, November 2nd, 2024
Registration: Begins at 7:30 am
5K Run: Begins at 8:00 am
1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: Begins at 8:05 am

📍 Location & Course

NEW STARTING LOCATION: The "Golf Road side" of Haverford Middle School (1701 Darby Rd, Havertown, PA 19083). This is a new starting location this year due to library renovations: the course remains the same down Mill Road to Karakung Drive to Manoa Road and back.

5K Course: Runs down Mill Road, to Karakung Drive, to Manoa and back to the Library
1 Mile Course: Run/Walk down Mill Road to Earlington and back
Virtual Participants: Can run or walk the course anytime, or anywhere between 11/5/23 - 11/11/23, and log times on the Runsignup registration page.

💲 Pricing Information

Early bird pricing runs through October 25, 2024 | Regular pricing will begin on October 26th, 2024

5K Individual: Early Bird: $30 through 10/25/24, Regular: $35 through 11/1/24, Day of Race: $40 on 11/2/24
5K Teams of 2+: Early Bird: $25 through 10/25/24, Regular: $30 through 11/1/24, Day of Race: $35 on 11/2/24
1 Mile Run/Walk: Early Bird: $20 through 10/25/24, Regular: $25 through 11/1/24, Day of Race: $30 on 11/2/24
Virtual Run/Walk: Prices are the same as above.

The 5K course will start on Golf Road (on the side of Haverford Middle School) to Leedom Rd. to Mill to Karakung Dr. to Manoa Rd and back.
