- Mission: Inspire and fund research for effective treatments for pediatric brain cancer, emphasizing DIPG.
💔 Our Story
- Origin: The ColtStrong Fun Run began in 2019 after the loss of our son Colt DelVerne to DIPG.
- Community Support: Our family and friends honored Colt by raising money for research.
- Partnership: We joined forces with the Carr family and became Family Partners in this battle.
🔬 The Fight Against DIPG
- Statistics: Brain cancer kills more kids than any other type, with DIPG causing nearly half of these deaths.
- Survival Rate: DIPG has a nearly 0% survival rate: less than 1% of federal funding is designated for pediatric brain cancer.
- Hope: Recent breakthroughs in treatment offer hope that cures may be discovered in our lifetime.
