BE FAST 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk

5k run or 1 mile walk honoring stroke survivors and their family members.

📍 Location

Located in downtown Toledo at Promenade Park.

🏞️ Course Details

• Route: Run along the Maumee River front, across the Cherry Street Bridge and through the beautiful Glass City Metropark.

💰 Beneficiary Information

• Support: 100% of registration, donations, and raffle proceeds will go directly into The ProMedica Foundation Stroke Patient Assistance Fund.
• Use of Funds: The fund is able to cover the cost of medications, health equipment, health supplies, transportation to and from appointments, and rent/utilities for patients with limited financial means as a result of their stroke.

• Entrance: 5K Run/1 Mile Walk.
• Timing: Bib Chip Timing.
• T-Shirt: BE FAST Stroke 5k T-Shirt.
• Refreshments: Snacks and Drinks.
• Meal: Post race meal.
• Health Assessments: Free Stroke Risk Assessments including blood pressure screenings.
• Education: Stroke Educational Material.
• Community Fair: Entrance into the community resource fair with multiple vendors.
• Kids Activities: Face painting/balloon animals.
• Entertainment: DJ and photography.

⏰ Race Schedule

• Kids Fun Run: Starts at 9:30am (100 yard dash).
• 1 Mile Walk: Starts at 9:45am.
• 5K Run: Starts at 10:00am.

💵 Registration Information

• Fee: $25.00 per participant until 11:59 on 8/31/2024.
• Price Increase: Increases to $35.00 per participant on 9/1/2024.
• Free Registration: Registration is free for stroke survivors.

🎉 Special Events

• Auction/Raffle: Silent auction and raffle items will be available! Raffle starts at 11:15am following the Awards Ceremony.
• Shirt Availability: Race shirts are not guaranteed after September 3, 2024.
• Shirt Distribution: You must be present to receive your shirt. Shirts will not be mailed.
