🏃‍♀️ Trot for TROT 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run

Join us for Therapeutic Riding of Tri-Cities (TROT) 4th Annual Trot for TROT 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, October 11th, 2025! Come on out for a fun filled, family friendly morning. Walk, jog, run, or roll along the scenic Columbia River and enjoy some fresh air and beautiful autumn scenery. This event is a fundraiser for TROT which promotes the physical, psychological and social well-being of people with special needs by providing animal assisted therapies and programs. All proceeds, entry fees, and shirt purchases will go directly to providing scholarships for families and riders with financial needs, operational program costs, and equine care. 📍 Race Details

• Location: The 5K route and 1 Mile route will start and finish at the Columbia Point Marina parking lot in Richland (600 Columbia Point Drive Richland, WA).
• Accessibility: This is a family-friendly and kid-friendly event and the course is accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.
• Awards: Special awards will be given to the Top Overall male and female (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) in the 5K distance and Top Overall male and female (1st place and 2nd place) in the 1 mile distance.
• Pet Policy: Runners and walkers are encouraged to bring their canine companions to help celebrate the special human-animal bond. DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES.

🎉 Additional Race Day Activities

While the main focus of the Trot for TROT is the 5K race and 1 Mile Fun Run, there will be plenty of additional activities that everyone will enjoy!

• Live Music: Enjoy performances from Bram Brata & OK2Botay who promote world music in the Mid-Columbia region.
• Costume Contest: Race volunteers will be on the lookout for the best dressed Cowboy or Cowgirl, with a prize for the winner!
• Kids Event: Kids (ages 3-6) will have the opportunity to participate in a free pony stick barrel race event!
• Petting Zoo: Some of our favorite therapy animals will be there to say hi and cheer on all the runners.
• Free Raffle: Enter your name/bib number in the free raffle for a chance to win a prize!

Every shirt purchased is helping support our programs and allowing us to empower, engage & educate children and adults with special needs in the Tri-Cities community. Thank you for your consideration and generosity! ALL SHIRT ORDERS MUST BE PURCHASED BY SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21st SO BE SURE TO REGISTER EARLY TO GUARANTEE YOUR PREFERRED SHIRT SIZE. After September 21st, you will no longer be able to purchase a shirt when you register. There will be a small amount of shirts available for purchase at the Trot for TROT.

Unable to participate in person at the Trot for TROT, but still want to support TROT? Consider signing up to run the Trot for TROT on your own time. Get outside and enjoy some fresh air, all while knowing you are helping support a great cause. Be sure to send us pictures (events@trot3cities) or tag us on social media @trot3cities of your run! This registration option does not include a race bag or race bib. Shirt orders must be picked up in person at TROT's office if you are unable to pick them up at race packet pickup or the day of the Trot for TROT.
