Join us for Therapeutic Riding of Tri-Cities (TROT) 4th Annual Trot for TROT 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, October 12, 2024! Come on out for a fun filled, family friendly morning. Walk, jog, run, or roll along the scenic Columbia River and enjoy some fresh air and beautiful autumn scenery. This event is a fundraiser for TROT which promotes the physical, psychological and social well-being of people with special needs by providing animal assisted therapies and programs. All proceeds, entry fees, and shirt purchases will go directly to providing scholarships for families and riders with financial needs, operational program costs, and equine care. 📍 Race Details

• Location: The 5K and 1 Mile routes will start and finish at the Columbia Point Marina parking lot in Richland (600 Columbia Point Drive Richland, WA).
• Accessibility: This is a family-friendly and kid-friendly event and the course is accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.
• Awards: Special awards will be given to the Top Overall male and female (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) in the 5K distance and Top Overall male and female (1st place and 2nd place) in the 1-mile distance.
• Canine Companions: Runners and walkers are encouraged to bring their canine companions to help celebrate the special human-animal bond. DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES.

🎉 Additional Race Day Activities

While the main focus of the Trot for TROT is the 5K race and 1 Mile Fun Run, there will be plenty of additional activities that everyone will enjoy!

• Live Music: Enjoy performances from Bram Brata & OK2Botay, groups that bring world music to the Mid-Columbia region.
• Best Dressed Contest: Race volunteers will be on the lookout for the best dressed Cowboy or Cowgirl! The winner will receive a prize!
• Kids Pony Stick Barrel Race: Kids (ages 3-6) can participate in a free pony stick barrel race event!
• Petting Zoo: Therapy animals will be there to greet everyone and join in the fun.
• Free Raffle: Enter your name/bib number in the free raffle for a chance to win a prize!

• Early Bird Price (Ends 8/11/24): Cowboys Trail (1 Mile): $15, Cocoa's Round-Up (5K): $20
• Regular Price (Ends 10/9/24): Cowboys Trail (1 Mile): $20, Cocoa's Round-Up (5K): $25
• Race Day Price: Cowboys Trail (1 Mile): $25, Cocoa's Round-Up (5K): $30

🌍 Virtual Trot for TROT Option

If you are unable to participate in person at the Trot for TROT, you can sign up to run on your own time. Enjoy the fresh air while helping support a great cause. Be sure to send us pictures (events@trot3cities) or tag us on social media @trot3cities of your run! This registration option does not include a race bag or race bib. Shirt orders must be picked up in person at TROT's office if you are unable to get them at race packet pickup or on race day.
