🌅 Welcome to the Fairfield Police Sunset 5K

Thank you all for your support of our past events and charity causes. We are preparing for another record-breaking crowd for 2025!

• Charity Focus: All proceeds will be donated to the Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund & The Fairfield Police Foundation.
• Distance Options: You can run (3.1 miles) or walk (0.8 miles) course.

🎉 Summer Spectacular

Get ready for the best night of the summer! This year we will be raising the bar once again and will accept over 1000 runners & walkers.

We invite all abilities to run our 3.1 mile scenic & flat course or walk our 0.8 mile course, that we have designed for you. Starting and ending at Jennings Beach, this summer spectacular will include:

• T-shirts: Included for participants.
• Food Truck Rodeo: Delicious options available.
• Treats for Kids: Activities for the little ones.
• Adult Libations: For those of age!

THERE WILL NOT BE ANY RACE DAY REGISTRATIONS IF WE SELL OUT (and we do expect to sell out!)

📝 Event Details

• Timed Event: The 5K distance is a computer chip timed event. You may run or walk in this event but must complete the entire distance or be disqualified.
• Untimed Walk: The 0.8 mile walk IS NOT timed - there are no awards for this event.

💰 Registration Pricing

• $35: ALL AGES in the 5K for the first 200 registered.
• $40: ALL AGES in the 5K for registrants from 201 - 600.
• $45: ALL AGES in the 5K for registrants from 601 - 1000.
• $35: Flat fee, ALL AGES in the 0.8 mile untimed walk.

📅 Calendar of Events

• March 8: Registration opens.
• June 13: Shirt size guarantee ends.
• July 15: Early bib/shirt pickup at Marathon Sports.
• July 17: Race day bib/shirt pickup until 6:15 PM at Jennings Beach Registration Tent.

🏅 Awards and Recognition

• Award Ceremony: First Place male & female will be recognized at the Star 99.9 tent.
• Age Group Awards: Male and Female champions will be introduced as soon as possible after finishing.
• Food Tickets: $15 Food truck ticket for non-registered spectators.
• Post-Event Treats: Registered participants enjoy post-event food and fluids included in your registration fee.

🌟 Race Management and Donations

The event is coordinated by Deputy Chief Keith Broderick (ret) and Eric Johnson, Partner at MONECO Advisors. Race management is provided by MS Running Productions & Marty Schaivone.

We encourage everyone to donate any additional amount to our charity partners. Your donation is fully tax-deductible.
