Please note: the race has grown more than expected. We are running out of shirts and we appreciate the support, along with your patience and understanding.
📦 Packet Pickup
- Date: Friday, July 5
- Time: 4-7 pm
- Location: Saluda Visitor’s Center next to the Train Depot in Historic Downtown Saluda.
🏁 Saturday Morning Race Info
- Location: Start/finish line and race day pickup/registration table beside the stage in the park.
- Registration: All registration will be online through the runsignup page. No paper forms for late/walkup registration, so bring a phone.
🅿️ Parking Details
- 5K Parking: Available only until 9:30 am at First Baptist Church Saluda and Saluda United Methodist Church.
- Festival Parking: Please move your car out of those lots by 9:30 am for Coon Dog Day.
- Additional Parking: Available at the Saluda Elementary School back (bus) Parking Lot on Seminary Street, short walk to start line on Main Street.
🎉 Event Details
Coon Dog Day 2024 will be held in Saluda, NC on July 6th and the 5K will be better than ever!
- Host: The Coon Dog Day 5K is hosted by and is a fundraiser for Saluda Elementary School.
- Start Time: The run begins in McCreery Park beside Main Street at 8 am.
- Route: Follows the traditional Coon Dog Day 5k route.
- Timing: We are adding chip timing for all participants to track their time for this annual festival run!
👶 Kids' Fun Run
We are adding a kids' 1 mile fun run with clock timing for the runners. We are pre-ordering more shirts! (Supplies are limited to availability based on sign-up order.)
Plan to stay for the daylong festival of crafts, food, music and quirky small town fun.
