Benefiting SAWYER’S RACE FOR RESEARCH
🎗️ About TFP
- Background: In 2021 Sawyer Burch was diagnosed with TFP. His family is committed to helping Sawyer and other children with life-threatening metabolic disorders.
- Community Effort: To date our community has raised over $300,000. Put on your cape, you too can become a super hero!
- Health Impact: TFP Mitochondrial beta-oxidation trifunctional protein (TFP) deficiency impairs the body's ability to generate cellular energy. Symptoms can lead to frequent hospitalizations and premature death.
- Fund Allocation: 100% of proceeds will go toward funding TFP research at UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh and will help children fighting this and other metabolic disorders.
