🎉 Race Overview
Celebrate the holiday season in Thompson Park with either a 10K, 5K, & Youth races. Join us on the weekend before Christmas and run on a beautiful, well-marked, and supported course… even better, bring the kids and have them run their race as well. Everyone gets a technical T-shirt and big and beautiful finisher medal. Then, once most of the athletes have finished the course, we’ll hold an awards ceremony to celebrate the top three overall fastest runners in each gender and then each age-group. The kids/youth race is on several distances so that each age group can experience the beauty and excitement of running and racing. We’re excited to hold this 2nd annual race and look forward to making it the best 5K & 10K to celebrate the holiday season in NJ. So, join us now and get a head start on your 2025 running plans.
📅 Event Details and Schedule
Race Day Packet Pick-up:- Bring picture I.D.: You will receive a bib with a timing chip attached to it.
- Tag for personal bag: Your bib will have a tear-off tag that you will pin to your personal bag.
- Retrieving your bag: You need to show the matching bib to retrieve your bag from the secure area.
- Live results: Splits per loop and finish time are LIVE (www.citytri.com/results).
🏆 Awards Ceremony
- Timing for ceremonies: As soon as the top 3 overall finish, we will hold the ceremony. For the age groups, as soon as the top 3 finish.
- Memorable moments: Enjoy taking memorable pictures on our podium and commemorative race banner!
- What’s included: You will receive a full-color Technical T-shirt and a commemorative finishers medal that you will love.
🥳 Post Race Party
- Food options: Includes fresh bagels, flavored cheese spreads, Nutella, and organic jelly. Fruits are usually bananas and apples.
- Seasonal drinks: Depending on the weather, we will offer hot chocolate or apple cider.
⏱️ Timing & Race Tracking
- Electronic timing: Electronic timing with splits per loop. Results are uploaded live.
- Finish line photos: Finish line photos and video will be available on the results page. Bibs must be visible and worn on the front!
- Race tracking: Digital map with live representation of your progress. Can be seen by anyone… just use RaceMap.
🏅 Awards
- Finisher medals: Medals to all finishers.
- Top awards: Plaque awards will be given to the top three male and female runners.
- Age group recognition: Age group awards will be awarded to the top three male and female runners in several age groups.
