Family & Community Services of Somerset County "Taking Strides Towards Wellness" 5k Run/Walk

🏃‍♀️ General Race Information

Our 12th Annual “Taking Strides Towards Wellness" 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, October 19th at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater.

• Registration: YOU CAN SHOW UP THE DAY OF THE 5K AND REGISTER! Online registration ends on the 18th.
• Route: This race is on an extremely flat paved wooded trail that parallels the Raritan River.
• Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers overall for each gender as well as the top 3 per age group.
• Age Groups: Age groups will be 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over.

🗓️ Registration Information

Registration and Packet Pick up will start at 8 AM, with the 5K Run/Walk starting at 9 AM and Award Ceremony at 10:30 AM. Free T-Shirt to ALL pre-registrants who register by September 21, 2024.

🎁 Race Sign-up Incentives

• Donation Incentive: If a paid participant donates or gets donations equal to or greater than $125, he/she will be refunded his/her $25 registration fee.
• Group Registration: If a paid participant gets 4 other people to register and pay for this event, he/she will be refunded his/her $25 registration fee.

All proceeds from the race and sponsorships benefit Family & Community Services of Somerset County (FCSSC).

The goal of FCSSC is to enhance the quality of life of individuals, families, and communities by providing mental health and addiction treatment and services. We counsel, guide, and provide tools to people in our community who need to strengthen their foundation of wellness.

As a non-profit, community agency, we offer affordable rates based on a sliding scale. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurances. We take pride in serving EVERYONE in our community without regard to ability to pay.
