🏃‍♂️ The Mile Race Details

The Mile, presented by Pacesetter Sports, will be held on Tuesday, July 4 at Indiana State University’s Memorial Stadium.

🕒 Race Information

• Date: July 4th every year.
• Start Location: 1 mile north of the Stadium, on Brown Blvd.
• Finish Location: Near the Stadium grounds.
• Heats: 6 heats with the first starting at 8:15 a.m.

📋 Start Times

• 1st heat: Females 11-39 @ 8:15 a.m.
• 2nd heat: Females 40+ @ 8:25 a.m.
• 3rd heat: Males 11-39 @ 8:35 a.m.
• 4th heat: Males 40+ @ 8:45 a.m.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Friendly Event

The Mile is the culmination of the Kids Running Program and entry is included by participation in the program as well as open to the community of walkers and runners. The Mile is one of our most family friendly events. The heats are scheduled to enable parents to return to the start to accompany young children and cheer on the older ones. Kona Ice will be on site post-race to help families celebrate their awesome accomplishments and help you stay cool! They will arrive around 9 a.m. and be located just south of the finish line near the football stadium. Prices range from $4 – $7.

🏆 Awards

• Awards: Overall awards, age group awards, and walker awards.
• Age Groups: Awards based on 5-year age groups with 1 to 3 awards per group.
• Walker Awards: Given based on the first walker across the finish line and so on.
• Patriotic Award: One additional award for the child dressed the most patriotically.
