🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: The Swamp Stomp is a 5-mile run and a 4-mile walk. There is also a 1-mile fun run option.
• Location: The race takes place on the trails of Hawthorn Park.
• Course Conditions: The trails are generally in good shape: however, the weather can always make it a bit swampy so look out for alligators.
• Volunteers: The course is always well marked with plenty of course volunteers.

🥘 Post-Race Festivities

• Awards: After the race, stick around for awards and the post-race breakfast taco bar!

📅 Registration Details

• Deadline: You must preregister by April 12 to receive a shirt.
• Online Registration: Online registration will continue until Wednesday, April 16 at midnight, but no shirt will be provided.

🏆 Awards Information

• Awards Breakdown: Awards will include overall awards, age group awards, and walker awards based on 5-year age groups.
• Age Group Awards: The number of awards per age group will be determined based on the pre-registered numbers in each age group, ranging from 1 to 3 per age group.
• Walker Awards: There are also walker awards that are not age-based or gender-based, given to the first walker across the finish line and so on.
• Fair Competition: IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP AS A WALKER, PLEASE DO NOT RUN! We have competitive walkers who work hard to win the race, and it wouldn’t be fair for someone to run part of the race and beat out a competitive walker.
