MLVFD Fired Up for the 4th 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: The 2nd Annual Mountain Lakes Volunteer Fire Department "Fired Up for the 4th 5K Run” will be held June 28th!
• Participants: Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a leisurely stroll, this 5K is the perfect way to kick off the 4th of July festivities.
• Welcoming: Runners, runners with strollers, walkers, and kids are all welcome.
• Discounts: Discounted entry fees for fire, police, and EMS entrants.

🎖️ Awards & Recognition

• Categories: Awards will be given to the fastest male and female firefighters, police, EMS, and runners overall.
• Age Groups: Awards will also be given to age group winners.

💰 Proceeds

• Community Support: Proceeds from the event will help the Mountain Lakes Fire Department better protect the community and our firefighters.
• Equipment: Your entry fees will enable the Department to purchase new firefighting and safety equipment and enhance training.

• Time: 9:00 am | Start @ West Shore Road, Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046

🚗 Parking Information

• Limited Parking: Limited parking available at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 10 North Pocono Road, Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046.
• On-street Parking: Available on Pocono Road, West Shore Road, and other nearby neighborhood streets off of West Shore Road (Roberts Drive, Arden Road).
• Restrictions: DO NOT PARK ON EAST SHORE ROAD, NORTH CRANE, OR CRANE, as these roads are part of the 5K course route.

🎉 Race Day Activities

• Location: All pre- and post-race activities will take place at the far end of the parking lot.
• Registration: Day of race registration, bib, and t-shirt (if you registered before the t-shirt deadline) pickup.
• Events: Music, refreshments, firefighting demonstrations, the awards ceremony, and award pickup will take place in the parking lot at St. Catherine's.
• Start Line: Approximately 5-10 minutes before the start of the race, we will proceed as a group over to the start line on East Shore Road, where the race will begin and end.
