🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Run Caney is back again! This will be a 6 mile and 12 mile loop run around beautiful Upper Caney lake near Minden, Louisiana. The run, set in the slight hills and oak flats of the Kisatchie National Forest: is a beautiful spot to enjoy nature at its finest. It's not too hilly, not too rocky, and not too root-laden. It's just right! Goldilocks would love it! This is an "Old School Style" trail run. It's a perfect first timers race! There is no 5K this year. However, you may run 5k on the 10k course and then sit down and await rescue. I will come help you when I sweep the course.

📍 Packet Pickup

PPU will be at Run Wild in Shreveport on the Thurs. and Friday prior to the race (11th & 12th) from 10 am to 5:45 pm.

👕 Shirt Deadline

There will be a shirt deadline of 12/1/25. Anyone registering after that may not get a shirt!

🚗 Entry Fees

Runners are expected to pay $5 at the park for entry, per car. I suggest car-pooling! Folks who camp at the Beaver Dam Campsite the night prior are immune to park entry fees due to their campground registration.

⏱️ Timing and Awards

• Running Clock: There will be a running clock at the finish.
• Index Cards: Racers will be handed a numbered index card as they finish. The runner will then write their name and time on the card.
• Awards: Overall male and female winner in each race will get an award of some type.
• Age Group Winners: Age group winner will receive a home-made ornament of some type.

⚠️ Shirt Policy

If you miss the race for any reason, you forfeit your shirt. Of course you may get your shirt at early ppu and then not attend the race but if you just don't show...I will not hold onto your shirt for you.
