The River Run 8K offers a unique experience for all levels of runners and walkers at a popular, but uncommon race distance! Located in the very heart of OKC, the River Run 8K promotes youth sports participation, health, wellness and distance running within OKC's urban core. Join us on November 2 as we race to the Wheel!
📍 Course Details
- Start/Finish Location: The River Run starts and finishes at the iconic Wheeler Ferris Wheel.
- Course Type: Follows a flat and fast out and back East/West course along the South OKC River Trail.
- Scenic Views: Runners will enjoy spectacular views of downtown OKC, OKC Riversport, the Oklahoma River and more.
- Certification: The route is USATF certified.

Awards for overall and masters male and female winners and top three in age groups.
📅 Event Details
- Packet Pick-Up: Early packet pick-up is 3:00-6:00pm, Friday November 1rd at OKCPS Athletics Offices, OKCPS Operations Facilities, Bldg 3, 2734 Miramar Blvd., OKC, OK 73111.
- Race Day Pick-Up: Packets available morning of race.
- Parking: Parking is in the Wheeler Ferris Wheel lot with overflow parking in the fields just to the west.
