Jonas Cattell Memorial 10-mile Run & Fort Mercer 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

A Historical Run to Commemorate Jonas Cattell's Warning Fort Mercer of Attack.

🚌 Transportation

• Bus Service: Bus transportation will be provided from Red Bank Battlefield to the starting line in Haddonfield.
• Schedule: Buses will leave Red Bank Battlefield at 7:00am.
• Bag Drop: There will also be a bag drop at the starting line.

🏆 Awards

• Categories: Presented to male and female winners in all divisions.
• Special Awards: Additional awards will be presented for achievement in special categories.

💵 Entry Fee

• 10-miler: $30.00
• 5K: $20.00
• Payment: Please make checks payable to: Gloucester County Parks and Recreation.

🏁 Courses

• 10-mile run: A point-to-point course from Haddonfield to National Park as run by Jonas Cattell on Oct. 22, 1777.
• 5K course: An out-and-back course, starting and finishing at the Red Bank Battlefield.

📝 Registration

• Pre-registration: Required by Wednesday, October 16th for early packet pick-up on Thursday, October 17th and Friday, October 18th.
• Race Day: Race day registration and packet pick-up will begin at 7:00am at the race start location of the event you enter. The 10-mile race day registration will take place in Haddonfield. The 5K race day registration will take place at Red Bank Battlefield.
• Guarantee: Upon receipt of your early entry form, before Oct. 17th, first 100 registrants will be guaranteed a race t-shirt.

📦 Packet Pick-up

• Date: Thursday, October 17th at James G. Atkinson Park Office from 7:30am - 7:00pm.
• Date: Friday, October 18th at James G. Atkinson Park Office from 7:30am - 7:00pm.
• Race Day: Packet pick-up will begin at 7:00am at race start location.

🚨 Participant Requirements

Participants must be able to complete a 15 minute per mile pace for the 10-mile race.

ℹ️ Additional Information

• Sanitation: Hand sanitizer stations will be set up outside the port-o-pots at the start location.
• Water Stations: Cups of water will be pre-filled and spread out on the tables so the runners can grab one.
• Runners Tent: Snacks for runners: water, sports drink and fruit.
• Award Ceremony: Will be held at the conclusion of both events at the Red Bank Battlefield.
