NIGHT RACE
JOIN US ON JUNE 29TH AT 9:15 PM FOR A RACE LIKE NO OTHER as we shut the airport down just for you! Get your running shoes on and fly along the taxiway and run on the airstrip with the lit up runway lights at night! Enjoy this unique view of the airport from the runway! Join family, friends, and fellow aviation enthusiasts as you run at KXAV on the flattest course in the region!
Top Gun "Top Run" themed medal and "Light Up" hat
FIREWORKS start at 10:00pm so runners/walkers can enjoy them during/after the race! Sponsored by the New Knoxville Independence Day Celebration. Food trucks available after your finish.
Register for the Moon Series and receive the extra MOON CHALLENGE Medal for all 3 races - Fly Me To The Moon (June 29th), Rocket Run 5K (July 4th), and Run to the Moon (July 20th).
If you cannot make any of the races for the "In-Person" events, participate virtually for one, two, or all of them and still receive the Challenge Medal. The Moon City Challenge Medal will be awarded at the 3rd race in the series.

Wapakoneta/New Knoxville is where Neil Armstrong learned to fly over these fields in his teenage years. He received his pilot's license when he was only 16 years old. The Neil Armstrong Airport supports the past, present, and future of aviation with race donations benefiting the Airport's aviation scholarship fund and the New Knoxville Community Park for continued improvements.
