Do you believe in second chances? We do! April is recognized as Second Chance Month for juveniles incarcerated in the justice system. You can help Writers in Residence give our youth another chance and transform the lives of justice-involved youth through creative writing and mentorship by participating in its inaugural Juvenile Justice 5K (and 1-mile Walk). That's right, you don't need to break a sweat to support a great cause!

• Venue: Forest Picnic Area - North Chagrin Reservation

⏰ Start Time

• Registration and Packet Pick Up: 9:00AM
• 5K and 1 Mile Start: 10:00AM

🏁 Race Distance

• 5K: Chip-timed
• 1 Mile: Nonchip-timed

💵 Registration Fees

5K:

• Early Bird: $25 (through March 11th)
• Standard: $30 (between March 12th-April 10th)
• Last Minute: $40 (between April 11th-April 19th)

1 Mile:

• Early Bird: $15 (through March 11th)
• Standard: $20 (between March 12th-April 10th)
• Last Minute: $30 (between April 11th-April 19th)

• Overall Awards: Top Overall Male and Female
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 Male and Female Age Group Winners in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over

📜 Refund Policy

Sorry, but all entries are non-refundable. Once we’ve received and processed your entry, you will not receive a refund, you may not give or sell your race number to other people, and entry fees are not transferable to the next year’s race or any other race.
