Join us on October 12, 2024, for the 12th annual Child Advocates Superhero Run at CITYCENTRE Houston! Dust off those capes, grab your sidekicks, and be a hero for the day.
The chip-timed 5K run starts at 8am, followed by the 1K run at 9am. Race and costume contest awards ceremony to follow the 1K event. Come out and have a great time running, walking or spectating for Child Advocates!
🦸♂️ About Child Advocates
Child Advocates recruits, trains and supports volunteers who provide a voice for abused and neglected children in the Houston area. As Harris County’s Court Appointed Advocates (CASA) program, we provide lifesaving advocacy that helps children exit foster care to a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.
- Advocacy: Providing a voice for abused and neglected children in the Houston area.
- Support: Offering lifesaving advocacy for children to find safe, permanent homes.
- Recommendations: Advocates provide judges with recommendations on where children should live permanently.
- Constant Support: Volunteers ensure children's needs are met while in care.
📍 Packet Pickup Locations
Please plan on picking up your packets at either of the locations the week of the race. You are allowed to pick up for other participants.
- Tuesday, October 8th: Academy Sports + Outdoors - 2404 Southwest Fwy, Houston, TX 77098, 11:00am - 6:00pm
- Friday, October 11th: Lifetime Fitness - 815 Town and Country Blvd, Houston, TX 77024, 11:00am - 6:00pm
