Salem Summer Solstice 5/10K

🌞 Race Overview

This race is a fundraiser to support McKay HS Cross Country Team!

🗓️ Date and Time

• Date: Friday, June 13th, 2025
• 10k Start: 7:00 pm
• 5k Start: 7:10 pm

📍 Location

Starting location: Minto Brown Island Park, parking lot #3 by the pavilion

🏞️ Course Details

• 5K Course: All on paved trails.
• 10K Course: Small loop along an open trail, then returns to a paved path.
• Scenic Settings: Both courses are flat and in a natural park setting.
• Post-Race Treat: Entry fee includes a post-race ice-cream sundae.

🔔 Important Details

• Restrictions: No rollerblades/skates, skateboards, dogs, or unregistered participants. Baby joggers and strollers are allowed. Walkers are welcome in the 5K.
• Packet Pickup: Begins at 6:00 pm.
• Capacity: 400 total participants over the two distances.
• Day of Race Registration: Ends promptly at 6:50 pm & all forms of payment accepted (unless capacity is reached before then).

⏰ Race Timing

All race courses close at 9:00 PM. Note: Race timing and course monitoring end at 8:30 P.M.

All current members of the Willamette Valley Road Runners Club will save $2.00 on their entry fee. Join WVRR or Renew today!

🚰 Aid Stations

One water station is provided for both races around mile point 1.25 for the 5k and 4.25 for the 10k.
