Miles for Midwives 2025: Moving Families Forward

🏃‍♀️ Miles for Midwives 5k

Miles for Midwives 5k walk/run/roll at 10am on May 17, 2025 at the beautiful Champoeg State Park, located halfway between Oregon City and Salem. This annual event raises awareness about the impact midwives have on improving outcomes in maternal and infant health and supports two professional midwifery organizations, The American College of Nurse-Midwives Oregon Affiliate and Oregon Midwifery Council. Please join us in celebrating the important work Midwives provide to women, pregnant people, and families by stepping out in support!

🤝 Support The Cause

• Beneficiary: Money raised will go directly to improving maternal health care in Oregon.
• Proceeds: All proceeds benefit The Oregon Affiliate of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and the Oregon Midwifery Council.

🏠 Center For Hope & Safety

• Donation: 10% of your registration will go directly to The Center for Hope & Safety, which is a 501(c)(3), independent nonprofit offering safe refuge and support to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking.

👶 Diaper Drive

• Need: One in two families cannot afford diapers.
• Donations: Please bring new cloth or disposable diapers for donation to local nonprofit diaper banks on the day of the event. Donations will be delivered into The National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN), a national nonprofit established in 2011.

📝 Registration

Registration is open from Feb 24th until the start of the race on May 17th at 10am through this event page on RunSignup.com.

• Early Registration: Registrations before May 3rd to receive a souvenir T-shirt and a discounted registration price of $48. T-shirt availability is not guaranteed for registrations after May 3rd.
• Late Registration: Registrations between May 4th through May 16th do not include a T-shirt but remain discounted at $48 and T-shirt availability is not guaranteed.
• Race Day Registration: Registration starting at 5pm on Friday, May 16th, through race day will be $58 and T-shirt availability is not guaranteed. Sign up early!
• Free Registration: Registration for ages 16 and under is FREE. Souvenir youth T-shirts can be purchased for $20 if signed up by May 3rd. If you do not want a T-shirt, please select 'Youth Without T-shirt' when asked to choose a T-shirt size.
