🏇 WHAT

Event: The 8th annual Derby Run in memory of Justin Lopes will begin at Terry Sanford High School.
Course: The 5K and 10K courses run through the scenic Haymount area as well as the Fayetteville Technical Community Campus and will finish near the Terry Sanford High School baseball field.
Activities: There will also be a 1 Mile Fun Run and face painting, a selfie station, and a silent auction. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
New Feature: A fun new 50 Yard Dash for kids 10 & under will take place before the start of the 10K! No fee for entry, just have your kids in the gate and ready to sprint!

10K: Run/Walk - TIMED
5K: Run/Walk - TIMED
1 Mile: Run/Walk - UNTIMED
Kids 50 Yard Dash: (10 & under) - UNTIMED & FREE! *You can walk or run these events

Registration: To register, click on the Sign Up button in the top right of the website.
Online Registration: Online Registration is open until the race starts. We encourage you to register online before arriving at the event.
On-site Registration: Registration will be available at the race. You will be asked to scan a QR Code with your phone to register online.

Beneficiaries: Net proceeds from the Derby Run will go to local charities that benefit children.
Supported Charities: These include The Child Advocacy Center in Fayetteville, Cy’s World Foundation, and the Justin Richard Lopes Memorial Scholarship.
Child Advocacy Center: The Child Advocacy Center offers children a safe place that supports the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse.
Cy’s World Foundation: Founded in 2010 to honor Cy Garber, promoting a love of the outdoors to children.
