🏃‍♀️ Celebrate Mom at the Mother's Day 5K

Run, jog or walk to celebrate mom during this annual 5K from the Summit Metro Parks. The stroller-friendly course for this chip-timed race travels twice around the scenic Munroe Falls Lake. Race proceeds benefit the Summit Metro Parks Foundation.

🚪 Park Entrance Information

Closure Time: The park’s entrance gate will close at 7:50 a.m.
Re-Opening: The gate will be re-opened by park rangers after participants clear the second lap.

👕 Registration Perks

Included Items: A choice of a race t-shirt or native tree sapling is included with each paid registration.
Eligibility: This is available for all registrants, including the 14 & under kids’ category, while supplies last.
Availability: Register early to ensure you get your preferred item.

🌦️ Weather Policy

Event Status: The event is held rain or shine.
Refund Policy: Refunds are available through May 1, 2025, but not after.
Course Accessibility: The course is not fully ADA-compliant, but wheelchair participants and jogging strollers are welcome.

📦 Packet Pickup

Date: Pre-race packet pickup is available on Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm (1828 Smith Rd., Akron).
Race Day Pickup: Starts at 7 a.m. on the morning of the race.

💵 Registration and Fees

Young Registrants: For ages 14 and under, registration is $10 through race day.
Older Participants: Registration is tiered by date for ages 15 and older.
Pricing Tiers:
- $20/person through January 14
- $25/person from January 15 through March 14
- $30/person from March 15 through April 14
- $35/person from April 15 through race day
On-site Registration: Participants may register on the morning of the race online only (no cash accepted).

🚫 Race Rules

Prohibited Items: Wagons, bikes, scooters, rollerblades, and motorized vehicles are not permitted on the course.
Pet Policy: Pet spectators (on leashes, 8-foot max) are welcome, but not allowed on the course.
Age Requirement: Anyone on the course over the age of 5 years must be a registered participant with a race bib.
Awards Eligibility: Only registered participants with race bibs are eligible for finisher awards.

🏆 Awards

Top Finishers: The top male and female (1st and 2nd place finishers) for each age group will have their name engraved in the Munroe Falls Mother’s Day 5K brick paver walkway.
Overall Winners: The overall top male and female (1st and 2nd place finishers) will have their name engraved in the Munroe Falls Mother’s Day 5K brick walkway.
Individual Awards: They will also receive an engraved top finisher brick paver to take home.
