Event Celebration: The Steel City 12 Hour Run/Ruck is an event celebrating the uprising of Middletown with the creation of George Verity's American Rolling Mill Company.
Running Opportunity: This is a great training opportunity to run through the night for any upcoming races you may have.
Runs Available: Options to run a marathon, half marathon, 10k, or just a couple miles.
Chipped Timing: The race will be chipped timed by Brunning Endurance Company (brunningendurance.com).
🏞️The Course
Loop Details: This is a 1.52 mile looped course that follows a paved path around Smith Park in Middletown, OH.
Landscape: The course is very flat and parallels Middletown Regional Airport.
Run Duration: The goal is to run as many loops as possible in 12 hours.
Aid Station: One aid station at the start/finish line area, stocked with various refreshments.

Charity Background: Steel City started as a free race with suggested donations for local charities.
Funds Usage: The race now charges to cover essential costs and donate proceeds to Art Central Foundation (ACF).
T-Shirt Proceeds: 100% of t-shirt purchases will go to ACF.
ACF Mission: ACF provides visual arts opportunities for local residents and students.
🎒Ruck Information
Weight Requirement: If you are rucking in this event, you will need to carry a minimum of 25lbs.
Pack Checking: Packs will be weighed at the beginning and end of the race.
Style Requirement: Backpack style ruck must be used to win an award. No vests.

Finisher Awards: Unique awards handcrafted by students of Art Central Foundation.
Categories: Awards for completing a marathon, 50k, or 50 miler running or rucking during the 12-hour time span.
Top Finishers: Awards for the top male and female runners and ruckers.
