🚫 Registration Information

ON-LINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

• Last-Minute Registration: You can still register on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 (if our limit of 3,000 participants is not reached) from noon to 6:00 PM at the New Cumberland Fire Hall.
• 5K Cost: $40.
• Cranberry Challenge Cost: $50.
• Payment Method: Cash or check ONLY. Race shirts will be available.

🎁 Special Announcement

• Toys for Tots: We are also collecting new, unwrapped toys at packet pick-up and on race day. Drop-off bins will be available!
• Anniversary Gift: In honor of the 20th anniversary, each participant will receive a special gift.
• Goal for Attendance: Our goal is to make this the highest attended event over the last 20 years with over 2,800 people registering.
• Community Focus: The SMT Turkey Trot is an event that is focused on family and fun with refreshments and activities awaiting you at the finish line.

🕊️ In Memory of Shirley Mae Taylor

The run is named after Shirley Mae Taylor, who passed away in 2003 after a long battle with cancer. The race is held in New Cumberland because she loved the town. We hold this event on Thanksgiving morning to emphasize family and tradition.

💖 Beneficiary Information

All proceeds benefit Vickie's Angel Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families fight financial burdens during their cancer struggles. Visit their website for more information.

🗓️ Event Information

• 5K Run: The run begins and ends in New Cumberland Borough Park.
• Cranberry Challenge: This challenge involves fitness stations to tackle various obstacles throughout the race.
• 5K Walk: Starts and ends at the New Cumberland Borough Park, with a separate start for walkers.
• Strollers: Welcome! Please start from the back to avoid impeding other participants.

🚗 Parking Information

Volunteers will be present to direct you to parking spaces, and pedestrian access will be open at all times.

🏅 Age Groups & Awards

Age groups for both males and females break down as follows:

• 8 - under
• 9 - 14
• 15 - 19
• 20 - 29
• 30 - 39
• 40 - 49
• 50 - 59
• 60 - 69
• 70 - over

The overall male and female winners receive a family-sized turkey. Dessert prizes are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.

🔗 Pre-Registration and Packet Pick-Up

Pre-registered participants may pick up their packets on November 26, 2025, from noon to 6:00 PM at the New Cumberland Fire Hall, and on race day from 6:45 to 7:45 AM at the New Cumberland Borough Park.

• Entry fees: Include professional chip timing with accurate results, post-race refreshments, and random prizes.
• Walker Start: Designed to reduce course congestion.
• DJ: A professional DJ will entertain you pre-race and during post-race activities.
• Photo Opportunities: A family and finisher photo station will be available by a professional photographer.
• Course Prizes: Look for redeemable feathers during the race!
• No awards ceremony: Awards will be presented on a rolling basis.
• Race Timing: Timed by Falcon Race Timing.
• Weather Policy: The event will take place rain or shine. If severe conditions arise, the race may be canceled.
• Dogs: We highly discourage dogs on the course for safety reasons.
