🦃 Great Turkey Chase Overview

7th annual Great Turkey Chase to benefit ECHOS in Elizabethtown. A portion of registration fees and 100% of any donations you make will benefit ECHOS.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Date: November 28, 2024
• Location: Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ (EBIC) 996 E High St, Elizabethtown, PA.
• 5K Course: Starting and ending at EBIC.
• Registration: Online until race day: in-person registration available starting at 6:45 AM on November 28.

👶 Kids Run Information

No event fee. Sign up online!

• Distance: Approximate 1/4 mile course that can be run one, two, three or four times.
• Short Run: A shorter run through blocked off parking lot.
• Sponsors: Sponsored by Tatted Toy Guys and LIV-Etown, Elizabethtown!
• T-Shirt: Option for t-shirt purchase available.

🏅 5K Race Highlights

• Family Friendly: Making family memories! Thanksgiving traditions!
• Thanksgiving Morning: Come out to exercise before your Thanksgiving feast.
• Turkey Prize: "Catch" a turkey and take a frozen turkey home.
• Participant Perks: T-shirts to all 5K participants signed up by November 7th. Finisher's medal to all 5K finishers.

• Age Group Awards: Awarded by 10-year age groups.
• Overall Finisher Awards: Thanksgiving style!
• Registration: Can be done online up until race day.
• Pacing: Limited parking is available at EBIC: overflow parking needed.

🚗 Parking Information

DO NOT PARK IN BLOCKED OFF AREA OF THE PARKING LOT. This area will be used for the kids run. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASSY AREAS AT THE CHURCH. Limited parking is available at the EBIC parking lot. Overflow parking will be needed and is available at Bear Creek School, East High Elementary School, small lot at the Fair Grounds by outbuildings, and street parking. (See parking map below)

🐕 Pet Policy

Although we love our furry friends, dogs are not allowed on the race course for safety reasons.

💵 Refund Policy

Unfortunately, the Great Turkey Chase does not offer refunds under any circumstances due to pre-race costs affiliated with each registration.

🎉 Contest Information

👪 2024 Great Turkey Chase Family Gathering Contest

• Eligibility: Award for the biggest family gathering at the Great Turkey Chase.
• Family Definition: “Family member” equates to whomever you consider to be part of your family!
• Registration: Each family member must be registered for either of our two races (5K or the Kids Fun Run).
• Entry Deadline: 8:15 AM on race day at the ECHOS table.

🎭 2024 Great Turkey Chase Costume Contest for 5K Participants

• Award Criteria: Awards for individuals and groups showing the most Thanksgiving Day Spirit!
• Submission: Submit photo entries between 6:30 AM and 12:00 noon on November 28, 2024.
• Winners Announcement: Winners will be announced on the Great Turkey Chase Facebook page by December 1, 2024.
• Prizes: First, second, and third place winners will receive gift cards to local businesses.
