Run the Rock

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

“The Rock” is at the center of Albion College’s campus located on the Quad. The Run the Rock event passes right by and even though you’ll be going by so fast to see how many layers of paint make the rock what it is today, you’ll be able to feel the history that each layer brings to what makes Albion College special.

🎟️ Your Registration Does More Than Secure Your Spot

• Community Support: When you register for a Run Albion event you are giving back to the Albion community.
• Sponsorship Impact: With the generous support of our sponsors, we are able to cover the cost of the entire series.
• Donation Contribution: Each registration fee is then used as a donation to a local nonprofit organization that provides course volunteers.
• Past Donations: In 2022 Run Albion donated over $3,000 across four different nonprofits.

💰 Entry Fees

• Standard Fee: Fee is $30 until Thursday, 4/24.
• Race Day Fee: Fee is $40 on race day with no shirt guarantee.
• Kids Fun Run: Free participation for the Kids Fun Run.
• 5K Accessibility: The 5K is open to strollers and dogs.

🕒 Race Logistics

• Packet Pickup: 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
• Race Start: 6:30pm.

🥇 Run the Rock Awards

This year, all participants will receive a finisher medal. Awards will also be given to the top 5 men and top 5 women overall for the individual events. Points will be awarded to all Run the Rock participants, which will be used to determine series awards.

🏆 Series Scoring Awards

When you participate in Run Albion events, you’re eligible for series awards when you participate in two out of the three events. For detailed scoring information, visit runalbion.com.

The race will be professionally chip-timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race on this site.

🌍 Virtual 5K Run/Walk

If you cannot make the Run Albion series events in person, but you would still like to participate and support the local non-profits that are beneficiaries of Run Albion's proceeds, you can complete the Virtual Run Albion series! A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. All participants will receive a medal!

• What: This is a virtual race, so you choose your own course and time yourself.
• When: Complete your race any time during race weekend, April 25-28th. Medals and other race swag will ship by Friday May 16, 2025.
• Where: You choose the course, and you time yourself.
• Cost: The price is $25 and includes a finishers' medal and t-shirt.

❗ Important Notes

Virtual participants are not eligible for series awards, and there will not be a virtual series category. It is important to note if you participate in 2 in-person events and 1 virtual event, you’ll be eligible for IN-PERSON SERIES AWARD.
