Run For the Rec 5k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

McKnight Village is proud to host the 2025 Run for the Rec, a 5k race through our neighborhood to support the upkeep and revitalization of our community-owned park! This year will be a color run so get ready to layer your shirt with a rainbow of colors as you make your way through the course. Stick around after the race for raffles, refreshments, live music and games for the kids!

📅 Event Details

• Date: Sunday, June 1st
• Time: 9am
• Location: McKnight Village Rec, located at the end of Henderson Road.

🏆 Participation Options

• Fun: Untimed walk
• Competitive: 5k running division and 5k rucking division
• Accessibility: Strollers and families are welcome.
• Recognition: 53 medals will be awarded across a variety of age groups and categories.

📝 Registration Information

• Discounts: Discounted rates through April 25th.
• Guarantee: Register by May 9th to guarantee a race shirt.
• Timeline: Registration remains open through race day.

🚗 Parking Information

• Cost: Free parking in the rec.
• Arrival: Please arrive between 8 - 8:30am on race day.
• Instructions: Follow parking volunteers' instructions for parking.

🎽 Race Packet Pickup

• Dates: Friday 5/30 (5-7pm) or Saturday 5/31 (10am-noon).
• Day of Pickup: If you are not able to pick your bib, shirt, and bag before race day, you can also pick it up the morning of the event.
• Recommendation: We strongly encourage you to pick-up on Friday or Saturday.
