Run For The Paws

🐾 Event Overview

• Beneficiary: The Run For The Paws 5k and 1 mile run benefits the animals at the Wellington Humane Society.
• Non-Profit Status: The Wellington Humane Society is a 501(c) non-profit that serves Sumner County, Kansas.
• No Kill Shelter: We are a no kill shelter that opened to the public in December 2019.
• Mission: Our mission is to take in unwanted animals and find them loving, permanent homes.

📅 Race Details

• Date: June 21, 2025
• Location: 203 W. Hillside, Wellington, KS at the Wellington Humane Society.
• Start Times: The 5k will begin at 7:30am and the 1 mile will begin at 8:30am.
• Course: The course will be a mix of road, gravel, and sidewalk.

👚 Registration Information

• T-Shirts: T-shirts will be guaranteed to those who pre-register by 12:00pm (noon) on May 15th.
• Packet Pickup: Packets can be picked up at the Wellington Humane Society on Thursday and Friday, June 19-20th from 3-7pm, or on race day beginning at 6:30am.
• Finisher Medals: Finisher medals will be awarded to all participants.
• Trophies: Trophies will be given to the top male and top female in the 5k.

💧 Post Race Amenities

• Refreshments: Post race refreshments will be provided for both races.
• Aid Station: There will be 1 aid station at the halfway point for the 5k.

🐶 Pet Policy

• Dogs Allowed: Dogs are welcome to join.
• Vaccinations: They must be up to date on vaccinations.
• Behavior: Dogs must be non-aggressive.
• Leashing: Dogs must be leashed at all times.
