844 Sundial Bridge Drive, Redding CA
Sunday, October 5th, 2025
Runners in this year's Half Marathon will run along the Sacramento River and will be crossing three bridges: The Sundial Bridge, The Ribbon Bridge, The Diestel Horst Bridge. The runners will start out crossing the Turtle Bay Sundial Bridge, and go north on paved paths in park surroundings most of the way, until they reach the Ribbon Bridge where they cross the Sacramento River and go south until they reach Middle Creek Trail, which is an out and back (2 miles), with a return to the River Trail. Once back on the River Trail the runners cross back on the Diestel Horst Bridge to the north side of the River. The runners then continue back to the Sundial Bridge where they cross back to the south side and the Start / Finish.
The half marathon and the 10K have been certified by the American Track and Field Association, so for those of you who need a certified distance, this is another good reason to run this particular race.
A couple of years back we added electronic timing, through individual tracking on your race bib, and as everybody liked it, we have kept it this year.
This year's race will reintroduce the age division winners in 5-year increments starting at βunder 15 years of age.β For the two-mile run, there will be three additional divisions starting at 5 years and under.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU SIGN UP AFTER August 28th, 2024, YOU MAY NOT GET A SHIRT.
