🏃‍♂️ Join the Race The Helix-Upstate

Please join us on April 5th for the 11th annual Race the Helix-Upstate, inspired by one family's desire to raise awareness for genetic disorders and funding for genetic research! All proceeds benefit the Greenwood Genetic Center Foundation to support genetics services, testing, and research for families impacted by genetic disorders.

📅 Event Date and Location

• Date: Saturday, April 5th
• Location: Lake Conestee Nature Park, Greenville, SC

🏞️ Live Event Details

• Race Type: 5K trail run with chip timing (course can accommodate strollers and wheelchairs)
• Paved Course: 1 mile for walkers, runners, strollers, and wheelchairs
• Refreshments: Pre-packaged snacks, water, and coffee will be provided
• Check-in: Starts at 8:00 on race day. Onsite registration will be available until the start of the event for those wishing to register via their personal device.

🏆 Award Divisions

• Top Finishers: Award for top male and female overall
• Age Group Awards: Top male and female in the following age groups:
• Age Groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older

💻 Virtual Event Details

• Participate: Run or walk from anywhere!

💸 Entry Fees

• 5K: $25 (t-shirt not included)
• 1 Mile Walk The Helix: Free (t-shirt not included)
• T-Shirts: Available for purchase for an additional $10 when you register. Please register before March 14th to guarantee your shirt and size.
• Virtual Event Pickup: If you purchase a t-shirt as part of the virtual event, it will need to be picked up from a Greenwood Genetic Center location. Further instructions will be provided for t-shirt pick up arrangements.
