🕘 Race Start Times

All races start at 9am.

📍 Race Venue

Pocahontas State Park, 10301 State Park Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23832

• Location: The race staging area is located about 1 1/2 miles straight into the park on State Park Rd.
• Parking: After passing the entrance parking contact station, continue straight: follow park signs to the pool parking lot/boat launch.
• Start/Finish: Located on the large grass field adjacent to the boat launch.
• Event Tents: All race activities will be at the black and orange tents on the field.

🚗 Parking

The park requires a regular fee if you don’t have a state park permit. All day parking access is $10 per car load.

• Payment: Cash is the fastest way to move past the contact station.

🕖 Race Day

Date: October 6, Sunday, 7:30-9am at the staging area at Pocahontas State Park.

⏱️ Timing

Your race number will have a timing chip on the back. Please do not fold or remove the chip. Attach your race number so numerals are right side up, ensuring visibility throughout the event.

🏆 Award Breakdown

The following will be awarded race day for the 10k and 1/2 Marathon M and F.

• 19 and under: Awards category
• 20-29: Awards category
• 30-39: Awards category
• 40-49: Awards category
• 50-59: Awards category
• 60+: Awards category

🌳 Course Info

The redesigned course now features a loop for the 10k and a larger loop for the 1/2 marathon.

• First 10k: Both races will cover the first 10k together.
• Picturesque Views: The newer course provides more scenic views and a better trail experience.
• Runnable Trails: The newest built trails on the 1/2 marathon course are runnable with good footing.
• Final Miles: You'll finish your last 4+ miles on beautiful trails (Coop and Trooper Trails).

💧 On-Course Aid

There will be aid stations approximately at 3, 6, and 9 miles.

• Bathrooms: Two indoor bathrooms available near the start/finish.
• Locations: One is behind the soda machines (on the right side of the main lot) and the other near shelter #2 between the lot and the staging area.
