Milford Campus Bridgeport Hospital Mother's Day 5K Run/Walk, 3K - Walkers only and Kids Fun Run

🌸 Registration Information

• Participant Limit: THIS YEAR WE WILL BE LIMITING OUR PARTICIPANT NUMBER TO 650. We hope you’ll register early and in time.
• Closure: Once closed we cannot add on. We do not want to compromise safety and the space we can utilize. Thank you for understanding.

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

• History: For over thirty years the Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus has hosted a Mother’s Day Run and Walk to promote wellness and health. All abilities are invited to join us as we celebrate this special day!
• Proceeds: Proceeds from this year’s Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk will support a new family waiting room for the Same Day Joint Replacement Surgery Center at Bridgeport Hospital's Milford Campus.
• Events Offered: Our 5K chip timed Run (or walk) and 3k Fitness Walk (untimed) begins and ends at the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital.
• Kids Fun Run: We also offer a FREE, 1/10 mi Kids Fun Run prior to the start of the 5K. All kids 5th grade (10 years) and under can enter this non-competitive (no awards) fun run.

👟 Course Details

• Course Map: 5K course map available at http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=7711750.
• 3K Course: The 3K course has the same start as the 5k, but proceeds straight on Seaside through the East Broadway intersection. It joins back onto the 5k course along the water at Fort Trumbull.
• Safety: We ask all 3K participants to be SAFE and use all sidewalks wherever available.
• Course Features: The 5K and 3K courses are very flat and have scenic views as you travel past Long Island Sound.

💰 Fees and Registration

• Fees: Adult 19 and over: $35 (ends 5/4): $40 (5/5 - 5/11). Youth 18 and under: $15 (ends 5/4): $20 (5/5 - 5/11).
• Kids Fun Run: FREE for 10yr old and under only: preregistration is requested.
• Registration Opens: 2/12. Guaranteed shirt size ends on 5/1. Registrations after this date will be ‘as available’ with reduced shirt inventory.
• Phrased Pickup: Bib & shirt pickup outside at the front of Milford Hospital on 5/9 from 3pm to 6pm and 5/10 from 9am-noon.

📅 Event Schedule

• Check-In: 7:45-9am Check-In, Bib and Shirt Pickup on 5/11.
• Kids Fun Run: 8:45am Kids Fun Run -Two laps, safely, in the registration lot.
• Start Time: 9:00am Start 5K Run and 3K Walk.
• Awards: 10:00am Awards presented to the timed 5K participants.

🏆 Awards

• Categories: Male and Female 5K champions as well as in age groups 9 and under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, and ten year age groups through 80+ (and beyond if they are pre-registered!).
• Special Awards: Mother/son, Mother/daughter teams, as well as gift cards for age group leaders.
• Age Group Awards: All age groups 18 and under will receive medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
• Reminder: There are no awards for the untimed, 3k walk. Only 5k timed participants are eligible for awards.
