Milford Campus Bridgeport Hospital Mother's Day 5K Run/Walk, 3K - Walkers only and Kids Fun Run

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

For over thirty years the Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus has hosted a Mother's Day Run and Walk to promote wellness and health. All abilities are invited to join us as we celebrate this special day! Proceeds from this year’s Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk will support a new family waiting room for the Same Day Joint Replacement Surgery Center at Bridgeport Hospital's Milford Campus.

⚠️ Important Notice

• Participant Limit: THIS YEAR WE ARE LIMITING OUR PARTICIPANT NUMBER TO 650.
• Register Early: Please consider registering early - we were close to sold out last year.
• Safety: We do not want to compromise your safety and have limited space.
• Registration Closure: Once registration is closed, it will NOT be reopened. Thank you for understanding.

🏅 Events

• 5K Run/Walk &: 3K Fitness Walk: Both begin and end at the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital.
• Timed Eligibility: You must RUN or WALK the entire 5K if you want to be computer timed and eligible for awards.
• 3K Walk: (1.8mi) is not timed.
• FREE Kids Fun Run: All kids 5th grade (10 years) and under can enter this non-competitive fun run.

💵 Race/Walk Fees

• 2/14-2/28: Adult 19 and over: $35, Youth 18 and under: $20.
• 3/1 - 5/3: Adult 19 and over: $40, Youth 18 and under: $20.
• 5/4 - 5/10: Adult 19 and over: $45, Youth 18 and under: $20.
• Kids Run: Held before the start of the 5k/3k and is FREE for 10yr old and under only.

🎽 SWAG

• Participants: All 5K and 3K participants receive a race tee shirt.
• Shirt Guarantee: Shirt size/availability guaranteed if pre-registered by April 26.
• Post-deadline Purchase: You can purchase after that date but sizing is limited.

• Course Safety: 3K and 5K have the same start but 3K splits off and joins back to 5K along the water at Fort Trumbull.
• Course Features: Both courses are flat, scenic, accurately measured, and well marked.

📅 Event Schedule for Sunday - 5/10

• 7:45-9:00 am: Bib and Shirt Pickup - online late registration only if not sold out, no cash. Bring your phone!
• 8:45 am: Kids Fun Run -Two laps, safely, in the registration lot.
• 8:55 am: Announcements.
• 9:00 am: Start 5K Run and 3K Walk.
• 9:15 am: Snacks and fluids.
• 10:00 am: Awards presented to the timed 5K participants.

🏆 Awards

Male and Female 5K champions as well as in age groups 9 and under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, and ten year age groups through 80+ (and beyond if they are pre registered!) All age groups 18 and under receive medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

✨ Special Awards

• Mother/son, Mother/daughter teams: Awards given for top teams.
• First place age groups: (19-80+) WOODBRIDGE Running Company Gift Certificates.
• Second place age groups: (19-80+).
• Third place: (19-80+).

📜 Notes

• Gift Cards: Woodbridge Running Club has graciously donated $25 gift cards for our Male and Female champions!
• Awards Eligibility: There are no awards for the untimed 3K walk. Only 5K timed participants are eligible for awards.
• Discount: Save your bib for 10% off at Woodbridge Running Company through May 31.
