Maple Valley Bear Run & Walk 5K

🏃‍♂️ SCHEDULE FOR RACE DAY, 6/28/2025

• Packet Pick Up: 7:30am - 8:30am
• 5K Race Start: 9:00am
• Awards: 10:00am
• Day-of Registration: Use your personal mobile device, then come pick up your bib from us! No on-site payments accepted.

• Certification: USATF Certified Course!

🚗 PARKING

• Location: Parking available at Lake Wilderness Park.
• Recommendation: Carpooling is encouraged. Arrive early!

📦 PRE-RACE PACKET PICK UP

• Date: Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 4-7pm.
• Location: Road Runner Sports in Kent.
• Benefits: Join the VIP Family for $10 in Rewards Cash.
• T-shirts: Guaranteed for those who register by May 31st.

⌚ CHIP TIMING

• Timing Provider: Tortoise and Hare Timing.
• Chip Location: Disposable chips on the back of bib numbers.

🏆 AWARDS

• Age Group Awards: Given based on Chip Time.
• 1st Place: Each age division wins the coveted Bear Run Bear!
• 2nd-3rd Place: Receive Bear Run Bells.
• Special Awards: Top 3 overall men and women based on gun time.

📊 RACE RESULTS

• Results Posting: Official race results will be on our website.
• Timing Method: Results based on chip time (crossing start to finish).

🛴 STROLLERS, DOGS & WATER

• Strollers: Allowed along trails of this family-friendly 5K.
• Dogs: Not allowed on the course (except service dogs).
• Water: Available at the end of the race.

• Beneficiary: Proceeds benefit Tahoma High School distance running programs.
• Support: Funds aid athletes and families with participation and camp fees.
• Scholarships: Multiple scholarships awarded each year.
